SPD Obscure Sports Day
Southwest Pacific District held its annual Obscure Sports Day on  Saturday, January 12th at the Rancho Bernardo Community Park. Once again the District outdid itself on finding some of the most obscure sports that could ever be played. There was the return of the favorites such as El Hombre (type of dodge ball) and ice block curling, along with the addition of some new fun events such as the slip and slide tug of war that turned into the ultimate royal rumble to see who could stay on the mat without getting pushed off. We had a great turnout and everyone had a great time. This event was a success for the second year in a row.

SCJ Ritual Comp
Southwest Pacific District attended the Southern California Jurisdiction   ritual competition on Saturday, January 26th. There was a big turnout this year  complete with competitors from all over the Jurisdiction. Agate chapter competed in the DeMolay Degree and won, which allows them to go to the Frank Marshall Tournament of Champions for another year! There were also representatives from Valley Hills chapter at the ritual competition, which shows just how much this   District has grown over the years. SPD wants to congratulate everyone on how they did at the tournament this year and we would like to wish Agate Chapter good luck in Texas this year and we know that you will come back as Champions!

SPD Sweetheart's Ball
Southwest Pacific District held its annual Sweetheart's Ball at the Escondido Masonic Center on Saturday, March 22nd. The night was filled with candy and colorful decorations. The ever popular soda bar was being hosted by our very own King Lollypop (Dad Hunter) and the room was turned into a colorful gameboard. For those that wanted a break from dancing, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was playing on the wall. Thank you to everyone who came and made this night special for our sweetheart who gives everything she can to making sure every member has a great time in DeMolay. We love you Colleen.
